At The Afternoon Library, our mission is simple: to infuse everyday living with the magic of artistry and imagination. Born from a journey of discovery and a passion for creation, we are here to celebrate the beauty found in the unexpected and the joy of making things from scratch.
As an engineer-turned-interior designer, my love for design in its myriad forms led me on this quest to fill a gap in the market. What began as an endeavor to find unique pieces for the homes I was designing through my interior design studio, by e & co.— projects spanning New York to Goa to New Delhi, quickly evolved into the pursuit of bringing accessible artistry to the world.
Drawing inspiration from my happiest spaces — the quiet, book-filled corners of libraries and the serene afternoons spent lost in creativity — The Afternoon Library is more than just a name; it’s a feeling. It’s the warmth of a sunlit room, the comfort of a favorite book, and the joy of creating something beautiful.
Our collections are a reflection of this ethos, blending bold patterns, vibrant colors, and luxurious materials to create products that uplift and inspire. My journey began with designing analog circuits, where precision mattered. Today, it continues with designing homes through by e & co. and handcrafting objects here at The Afternoon Library, where feeling matters just as much.
